My favorite characters were (in order):
ReplyDelete1) Vermouth
2) Scotch/Whiskey
3) Pull tab beers
4) Vodka
5) Coca-Cola
No cigarettes?
DeleteHow do you put Vermouth before Scotch/Whiskey? That’s just confusing.
DeleteOnly because of the character arc... Scotch/Whiskey was too drawn out. I liked the shock and awe role that Vermouth played.
DeleteAnd cigarettes didn't make the cut simply because I loathe them... the same reason Ferg or Dennis would not have made my list of people.
I can see that. Scotch/Whiskey did kind of just show up in every scene.
DeleteWe get it! You’re awesome!
What about the Hippie Cigarettes? Loathe or no loathe?
Acid could place pretty high if your looking for shock and awe.
Roger did like the acid which is just one more reason that he should top this list.
DeleteSince the readership of this blog is world wide, I tried not to touch on items considered illicit in the greater United States. International relationships are touchy... and I hope to travel outside of the country again soon.
DeleteDamnit. I tried to do this ranking but I need pictures. I can’t keep em all straight. all I know is Roger is number 1 and Don is 2. After that I need a drink.
ReplyDeleteJust like the show!
DeleteWhat about Shirley??? "Hi 'Dawn'. Hi 'Shirley'." That exchange alone should put them in the top 10.
ReplyDeleteOf course Roger is number one. I've been dipping in and out of the marathon since Wednesday, and he was HOT in the first season.
And Pete is a monster, who deserves no future happiness. And Sal Romano in the top 10!!!!
Bob Benson!
Lane Pryce. I can't relive that heartbreak... but I'm looking forward to torturing myself with the horror that was Joan sleeping with the Jaguar creep, at 1:58pm today... watching At the Codfish Ball now.. this show was DARK.
Stipulated that the characters are beautifully written and impeccably acted - this is purely on a spectrum of how much I enjoy/am in love with/admire/am fascinated by/would have sex with/would have hate sex with/want to stab in the face (PETE):
ReplyDelete1) Roger Sterling
2) Peggy Olson
3) Sally Draper
4) Joan Harris
5) Betty Draper (what an arc; I still haven't recovered from last Sunday)

14) Mona Sterling
15) Freddie Rumsen (love me the pathetic drunks)
16) Duck Phillips
17) Bobbie Barrett/Midge!!! (how you you forget Midge, and her heroin spiral??)
18) Meredith & Caroline
19) Paul Kinsey
20) Anna Draper
21) Bert Cooper
22) Abe Ginsberg
23) Glen (so memerizingly weird and off-putting)
24) Rachel Menken/Roger's hippy daughter (she gets points for moving to the commune)
25) Jim Cutler
26) Bobby & Gene Draper
27) Henry Francis
28) Ted Chaugh
29) Conrad Hilton

43) Joan's ex-husband & Peggy's sister (how dare she tell Peggy's secret to the priest!)
44) Pete Campbell
I am moving Peggy into position 2 and Don down to 3.
DeletePete is easy to hate, but is a great character. He's definitely top 10.
I don't watch in real time, what happened with Betty last Sunday?
I never got all the Sal love.
